It isn’t waterproof
According to the packaging, the flashlight is only water resistant, not waterproof. Those are not the same. Water resistant means it is OK in rain and damp conditions. Waterproof means that it can be submerged.
Update (5/17/2012): This item is currently on sale here for the lowest price I’ve seen. I also found some auctions for this item here.

Love it!
I love this little flashlight. It is bright and the best part is the crank. It does not even need batteries! Ideal for those unexpected power outages. Another great product from LifeGear!

Crank up flashlight
Small, handy and gives off a good beam of light. A great addition to your emergency kits.
