Time for toasty toes
Sitting on my cold feet was doing nothing for my circulation or my posture. My husband gave me this heated footrest for a birthday present and it’s one of the best gifts I’ve gotten (well, except for the kitten that one year) to keep my feet warm.
The angled footrest insures good posture at your desk, which also helps with back and body fatigue. The nubby, bumpy surface helps with a passive massage and I think may even help with circulation.
The heater doesn’t get precisely hot even on the warmest temps, but used while wearing socks, it does keep my feet warm and comfortable even on the coldest days.
One feature I really like is the 4 hour safety shut-off. No worries about whether I turned the heater off or not and that makes me feel better about using it.
One thing about Vornado products overall is that they last. We have fans still in use that we purchased 10 years ago. A space heater from last year is still giving good service when another more powerful model from another manufacturer has not held up. Vornado does not make throw-away products. Bless them for that in this economy!

Sturdy little space heater
I work in a small office with the worst climate control; parts of the office will easily be freezing while others are incredibly hot. Unfortunately, I sit in an area that is always cold. I was looking for a compact, low-powered heater to help in my area and after much searching, I decided on this product.
At first I had reservations about the Vornado Soleaire because I didn’t want a footrest…I wanted a heater, but since I wasn’t able to find anything else that met my needs, I thought I’d give it a shot. I’m glad I did. The Soleaire provides a nice, low-powered heat right underneath my desk that keeps me warm, without making other areas of the office uncomfortable. In fact, most people don’t even know I have it on underneath my desk.
It’s relatively quiet and with all the hustle and bustle doing on the in the office you barely notice it (although it is noticeable when I’m the only one in the office, but I don’t mind).
The biggest complaint I have is that the on/off switch and heat controls aren’t as convenient as I’d like. It’d be great if you could turn it on/off easily with you foot instead of having to crawl under your desk to look. I’ve also noticed a few times that I’ve accidentally hit the heat switch with my foot and the air came out cold.
Overall, I think this is a great product for anything needing temperature control over their personal space.

It’s grown on me
If I rated this when it first came it was a three-star positions have been. Warm Feet After a while four stars seems appropriate, since it really only a negative, the Vornado SoleAire. This negative - the fan in the heating system is much louder than it should be. My computer sits on top of the desk (from dust), rabbits, and is much quieter than the SoleAire sitting under the table, even though the computer with 6 hard drives and several fans running all the time. If Vornado had chosen a slightly larger, slower fan wheel, which could SoleAire were almost silent. At least the sound of their smaller, faster fan is white noise instead of mechanical racket. I have no experience with the SoleAire on the fan-only mode, since it still cool, but if you do not warm enough to sit at your desk, you should try it, a product (especially if you get it for half price - the is where it really).
